Initially, first drafts had Cassie and Devon falling for each other, but it was decided that scenario would be too much like “Devoted Reality”. So it was decided that the two would remain friends.
·
First draft also had Armand as the relatively “good” guy. It was decided it made Cassie look like an obsessive person, so it was changed where Armand was the womanizer.
·
First ending had Armand telling Cassie they would never be together, and the story would end with her accepting Armand didn’t want her, and moving on with Devon’s brother.

Couple of call center terms; Quality (Quality Scores) - A Quality Rep is a rep that monitors the calls in the call center. The normally score the rep based off a set of standards the company presets. Reps can be fired for consistent bad grades. Resource - Resource is a department in charge with the staffing and time of the call center phones. A rep normally has to get permission from resource to get off the phone for any reason.

The scene where Omari pulls out a trumpet and begins to play in a sales meeting is a true story, just as Omari asking a question and answering it himself is also true.

The scene where Jeff begins sobbing and says “I can’t take it no more” is a true even that happened.

Cassie’s “Wait till he gets a load of me” was based on 1989’s Batman where The Joker uses the similar phrase “Wait till they get a load of me”. Also, when Devon makes the comment about the “Lots of Space” Cassie’s apartment has, the comment was also based on the same Batman movie.
