Initially Lark Voohries was slated to be “Serena”, and Monica was supposed to represent “Simone”. After finding the picture of Monica, I felt it portrayed the character “Serena” perfectly, thus the representatives were swapped.

Illustrious Solitude Tidbits
I don’t know why this story was written but I’m glad it was. It’s not my most story driven script, but I think labeling a character study script shows that I can diversify a little. Serena (the main character) was the most interesting character I’ve ever worked on, and to be honest she would need a A list actor to pull off her character properly.
